That means we're still several months away from the first season of GoT (which ended June 19, 2011), and about 14 months away from the June 2015 arrival of 'Girls.' Instead, a season of a show will arrive on Amazon's service only three years after it ended. While many have dreamt of a day when you could legally get HBO's shows such as 'Game of Thrones' and 'Girls' online without needing to subscribe to HBO, that day isn't yet here. Firing a serious shot across the bow of traditional cable, Amazon has inked a deal to bring selections from HBO's vast catalog of programming to its Prime Instant Video streaming service beginning May 21.
